Gransil UVG-7 

Gransil UVG-7 is a cyclomethicone free, UV functional silicone gel containing 6% avobenzone (Parsol 1789, UVA filter, 320-400 nm) and 15% of ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate (Parsol MCX, UVB filter, 290-320 nm). Despite their popularity in daily wear and sun care formulations, some organic UV agents may be irritating and most have a characteristic smell and oily feel. By entrapping organic UV agents in the silicone elastomer, Gransil UVG-7 offers a new form of organic UV agents with an excellent silky feel, a decreased irritation profile and a better odor profile. The silicone elastomer particles hold organic UV molecules and limits penetration into the skin, without effecting UV screening. Gransil UVG-7 is compatible with silicone oils and elastomers and also has some compatibility with vegetable oils and surfactants. Gransil UVG-7 can be formulated into anhydrous or emulsified (W/O or O/W) products.
