Gransil DMCM-5

Gransil DMCM-5 is a dimethicone/cyclopentasiloxane (D5) gel, which is made by dispersing oil swellable, sponge-like, cross-linked polydimethylsiloxane spheres in a mixture of dimethicone and cyclopentasiloxane. Gransil DMCM-5 is a very strong matifying agent and is designed for facial make-up formulas as a facial oil absorber with a desired attribute of matte, smooth and non-oily look. This very unique property is mainly due to: (1) the sponge-like spheres in the gel, upon spreading on facial skin, release volatile cyclopentasiloxane and meanwhile absorb the non-volatile excess facial oil as much as available to reach a saturation equilibrium; and (2) the sponge-like spheres, though invisible, scatter the incoming rays of light in all directions and diminish the reflected light, resulting in a matte look. Gransil DMCM-5 performs like a soft-silicone-powder that provides an excellent silky and smooth feel. Gransil DMCM-5 can be fragranced and used directly as a finished facial care product or coupled with a variety of other active ingredient, such as vitamins, anti-bacterials, cholesterols or UV agents.
