Gransil DMID

Gransil DMID is a special version of Gransil DMCM-5 without cyclomethicones. Gransil DMID is made by dispersing silicone elastomer in a mixture of dimethicone and isododecane. Gransil DMID is a very strong mattifying ingredient and is designed for facial make-up formulas as an oil absorber with a desired attribute of matte, smooth, and non-oily look. This very unique property is mainly due to: (1) the silicone elastomer in the gel which upon spreading on facial skin, releases volatile isododecane and at the same time absorbs the non-volatile excess facial oil; and (2) the silicone elastomer particles scatter the incoming rays of light, resulting in a matte look. Gransil DMID performs like a soft-silicone-powder that provides an excellent silky and smooth feel. Gransil DMID can be fragranced and used directly as a finished facial care product or coupled with a variety of other active ingredients.
