Gransil DMG-20P

Gransil DMG-20P is a silicone gel of 20 cP dimethicone fluid and USP petrolatum. Gransil DMG-20P is mainly designed for make-up formulations with unique properties of very low concentration of volatile silicones. This property allows for being formulated in those applications the require stable dimension in a container over time. Meanwhile, the low level of volatile dimethicone is recommended for reduced-irritation on skin. Gransil DMG-20P is an ideal ingredient delivering exceptional water-repellency, spreadability non-tacky characteristics and excellent silky-feel. Top hair salons use barrier creams on the skin surrounding the hair line to avoid dye penetrating the skin. Gransil DMG-20P is ideally suited for this application in a water-in-oil preparation since the petrolatum and silicone are non-volatile barriers, but still deliver excellent skin feel after the application.

Formulas Demonstrating This Product

Barrier Cream for Hair Coloring - A water-in-oil barrier cream for preventing unwanted hair dye color from soaking into the skin surrounding the hair dye area. Can be put on the forehead, ears and back of neck prior to dyeing hair and then rubbed in or wiped off after the dye operation is completed. Gransil DMG-20P is a non-volatile silicone elastomer gel with dimethicone fluid and petrolatum that together act as the primary barrier. In addition, the oil phase of this emulsion is external and protects the skin from aqueous dye penetration better than oil-in water preparations.
