Gransil LTX
A preformed o/w emulsion of crosslinked silicone elastomer. The globular droplets of the silicone elastomer have an average particle size of sub-micron made by combining our silicone technology and high internal phase emulsification techniques. Exhibits a unique dry, silky feel and forms a non-stretching elastic film on the skin by coalescence. Gransil LTX can be mixed into many types of skin and hair care formulas, in particular, spray type formulas to take advantage of the fine particle size of the silicone elastomer. Formulating Advice:

All products: Additional low HLB emulsifiers may be required when other oil phase ingredients are combined with one of our silicone gel formulating bases.

Water phase may require high HLB emulsifier as typical for emulsion type.

ORB Series, Gransil OW and Gransil OL: Oil phase is typically added to a "stirred" water phase

WO Series: About 1% NaCl or divalent salt in the water phase typically helps form WO emulsions. Water phase is typically added to homogenized oil phase.
