Gransil SiW-PCA-10

A 90% oil phase micro-dispersion of 60,000 cst dimethicone and dimethicone PCA (an isomer of the natural moisturizing factor "PCA" covalently bonded to a silicone backbone) This product is designed for easy addition into leave-on lotions and rinse off conditioners and cleansers. The pyrrolidone carboxylic acid group greatly reduces the interfacial tension mismatch between water and silicones and has a very high affinity for keratin protein. This is because each PCA group holds several units of moisture and forms ionic bonds with any free amino group on hair or skin. The recommended formulation technique is using this premix at about a 4 to 5% level in a conditioner or shampoo. The end result is a product that is easier to formulate at lower temperatures and gives a higher degree of slip, volume and conditioning. The recommended pH range is 4.5 to about 7 to maximize the slip properties.

Rinse-off Conditioner - Our rinse-off conditioner with SiW-PCA-10 uses SiW silicone premix technology to delivery a high level of conditioning properties, including excellent feel and shine. The special anionic silicone blend is added during the cool down and does not require homogenization. Comprised of a silicone-in-water emulsion that is easily diluted in all major skin and hair care applications.
Radiant Conditioning Shampoo - A creamy shampoo specifically designed to leave the hair conditioned with a healthy sheen using Gransil SiW-PCA-10 technology. This pearled shampoo does not require homogenization. This formula could also be used in Body Wash applications, particularly where a healthy sheen is required after DHA treatments.
