Grant's silicone resins are designed to act as hydrophobic binders to add non-transfer properties to your make-up while retaining flexiblity and improving wear. We have two classes of resin, silicone acrylate and M-Q resins. For the acrylate type, we scientifically kept the Tg (glass transition temperature) in mind by using butyl acrylates so the polymer never crystallizes to a hard film. The dimethicone backbone in the molecule adds flexiblity. Top brands use our polymers to avoid smearing and smudging of their mascara and eye liners, while increasing the waterproof nature of the product. The M-Q class is more conventional, but uses a cosmetic grade of cyclopentasiloxane that has a low D4 content for compliance with all global regulations.
