BB Creams; where, what, why...
Originally developed in Germany BB Creams have made their way around the globe--becoming widely popular in Asia followed by a recent introduction into the US market.
The BB Cream concept ("blemish balm," or now sometimes referred to as "beauty balm") is based on a product having multiple functions. These functions include skin soothing, moisturizing, wrinkle blurring, evening skin tone, added SPF, among other possibilities. Formulas are usually suitable for all skin types, sensitive skin included.
Different from liquid foundations, most BB Creams are tinted but with light coverage. Their sensory properties include excellent sillky textures and light skin feels. Some BB Creams are designed as alternatives to daily makeup wear. |
