Procedure

  1. Weigh Phase A in the main kettle equipped with a homogenizer. Sprinkle in Veegum HV and Keltrol. Heat to 80-85°C.
  2. Weigh Phase B in the side kettle equipped with a marine type propeller. Heat to 80-85°C.
  3. Micro-pulverize Phase C two times through 0.01" screen. Add to Phase B.
  4. When both Phase A and Phase BC are at proper temperature, add Phase BC to Phase A under homogenizer. Mix for 15-20 minutes while maintaining the temperature at 80-85°C.
  5. Cool batch to room temperature using a marine type propeller.
  6. Add Phase D slowly to Phase ABC, mix for 15-20 minutes.
