Responsibilities:
- Work in GMP laboratory performing routine analysis on raw materials and finish products
- Perform on GC, GCMS, ICP-MS instrumentation
- Assist in laboratory investigations, method troubleshooting
- Data review and analysis in a timely manner
- Applies established analytical methods to support development with other departments
- Prepares and maintains proper analysis documentation
- Maintains basic understanding of production processes and establishes proficiency with analytical test methods
- Uses lab equipment safely
- Maintains safe clean and orderly work area
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science
- Solid understanding and knowledge of general chemistry and separation science
- 2-4 years of work experience in Lab and chemistry preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to give and receive clear information
- Experience in GMP laboratory
- Experience with various techniques (HPLC, GC, ICP)
- Experience in reviewing data for accuracy and compliance
- Experience with LIMS is a plus
Work Environment:
- This position operates primarily in a cosmetics laboratory.
- The role routinely uses standard lab equipment such as pH meters, Viscometers, High Shear Mixer, Laboratory Vacuum, Microscope, and other instrumentation relevant to analysis including a variety of hand tools.
Physical Demands:
- Stands or walks 6hrs/day or more
- Handles organic solvents, silicones, powders, volatile fluids, acids and bases, nitrogen gas
- Works with mechanical equipment
